Michel Magne, (20/3 1930 19/12 1984)Composer of French scores in the 1960s and 1970s. Classically trained, but a very open musical mind, he moves from musique concrete to the variety (it accompanies including Henri Salvador), then to film music. He is notably the series of Angelica, but Les Tontons flingueurs, The Barbouzes, Fantômas, Galia, The Monocle rit jaune, and the music of the early films of Jean Yanne (Everyone is beautiful, everyone is nice , y'en I want a sub, The Chinese in Paris) Made a superb bossa nova record by the name "Las Mas Celebres Melodias de Brasil" (1971) One of my all time favorite albums. Ultra rare. Legal problems arising from the sale of the Castle Hérouville lead to suicide in late 1984.
